Henry LevensonJunior Secretary-GeneralHenry's Model UN journey began in Middle School, when he heard that Model UN was, "better than debate." Since entering Commonwealth, he's learned he doesn't need to choose between the two, working in leadership positions for both clubs. As a member of the COMMUN staff, he began as a crisis chair for the Second Punic War committee and transitioned to a crisis head for the cybersecurity committee the next year. Now, he's ready to bring his experience as both a delegate and a staff member to the Secretary-General position. He's excited to organize a meaningful and engaging conference for all attending.

Roman Der ManuelianDirector of FinanceI’m Romen, and I’m the COMMUN Director of Finance this year. At Commonwealth, I’m also heavily involved in Debate, Model UN, and Model Congress, and serve in leadership positions in each of those clubs. I grew up in the best place ever, New Jersey, and moved here to come to Commonwealth when I was 14, and now live in Needham, Massachusetts. At COMMUN, I’ve served before as a Committee Chair and later Undersecretary of Policy and Crisis.

Benjamin O'DonnellUndersecretary of PolicyBenjamin's first experience with Model UN came in freshman year, when he join Commonwealth's own Model UN club. After a great experience as a delegate, he was also a late recruit staffer to COMMUN V. During the first full school year of the pandemic, he found he loved attending Model UN conferences even when they were virtual experiences. Ever since then, he has found a passion in model government simulations as both a participant and facilitator, helping run a crisis committee at COMMUN VI and learning to chair at various other virtual UNAGB conferences. Along with attendance at various conferences as a delegate, Benjamin continued to work on the back end as well, this time serving as a chair at COMMUN VII. Now, with lots of experience and even more passion for Model UN, Benjamin is excited to create a conference that will challenge young minds, develop critical communication and debate skills, but most of all be a ton of fun.

Ted CarterUndersecretary of CrisisI became a part of COMMUN in my sophomore year, where I worked as part of the crisis staff on a committee about the Second Punic War. I didn't have any prior experience with Model UN, and figured I should try COMMUN since it was such a staple of Commonwealth. After a successful first year, I worked as a co-chair the following year on a committee about the Abyssinia Crisis, which allowed me to directly interact with the delegates while continuing to help my committee's other members in making COMMUN as interesting and productive as possible. This year, as the Undersecretary of Crisis, I'm hoping to ensure the crisis committees run smoothly and that the delegates learn important communication and leadership skills through their committees. I think COMMUN is a great opportunity for delegates to learn about how governmental groups function, hopefully through committees they'll enjoy participating in.
